Summertime is an ideal time to refresh your mindfulness practice and restore your energy. We invite you to join us for the day, or even part of the day*, to welcome yourself home. Unplug from your devices and plug in to nature in the beautiful surroundings of the newly dedicated Koluskus Garden at Mayu Meditation Co-op. Your cushion and serenity await!
Open to all new beginners, this silent retreat is filled with guided practices to nourish your body, mind, and spirit while shedding the stress of daily life. If you are considering a multi-day silent retreat experience, this day-long is a wonderful way to deepen your experience in preparation.
The day includes periods of formal and informal practice, designed to support the integration of mindfulness skills into daily life, including:
Sitting and walking meditation
Body scan meditation
Guided practices to foster curiosity, kindness, and resilience
Opportunity to connect with fellow mindfulness practitioners
We conclude the day with time to socialize and get to know each other as we build a community. Tea and light snacks will be provided.
* If you wish to join for part of the day, please plan to arrive by 9:15 am for morning participation, OR join for the afternoon during our mindful lunch period at 1:00 pm.
